SFA Probe into Morton

MSP for Greenock & Inverclyde, Duncan McNeil, this morning revealed that the SFA are carrying out an investigation into the propriety of recent events at Morton Football Club.

"The Scottish Football Association have confirmed that a member club of both the SFA and SFL, and their accredited officials, are subject to the regulations of these bodies.

"They have confirmed that they are involved in a number of issues regarding the club and Mr Scott. The club’s current circumstances are now under discussion at committee level. It is the role of the committees to decide whether any person subject to their regulations has brought the game into disrepute."

Supporters of Morton Football Club are lobbying the Parliament today. There will be a photo opportunity at 11:00 outside the debating chamber.

A press conference regarding the crisis at Morton Football Club will then be held in House 3, India Street, Glasgow.
