McNeil to Discuss New Health Improvement Programme

MSP for Greenock & Inverclyde, Duncan McNeil, will meet officials from Argyll and Clyde Health Board on Friday 8th September to discuss the board’s Health Improvement Programme 2000/1 - 2004/5.

Commenting, Mr McNeil said:

"From our low birth weights to our high mortality rates, our public health record in Inverclyde is not one of which we can be proud.

"These are long-term problems which need long-term solutions. That is why I am keen to discuss the new Health Improvement Programme with officials from Argyll & Clyde Health Board on Friday.

"I look forward to seeing the plans in detail and am hopeful they will provide a strong framework for future improvements in our health."
