Volunteers Week "A Great Chance to Get Involved." - McNeil
As part of Volunteers Week, MSP for Greenock & Inverclyde, Duncan McNeil, today lent a hand at the Craigend Resource Centre, serving on the fruit barrow.
Commenting on the event, Mr McNeil said:
"I was delighted when I found out I would be working here in Volunteers Week. As a regular visitor to Craigend Resource Centre, I am well aware of the work they do in the community.
"Resources such as this depend on the good will and dedication of their volunteers. And Volunteers Week reminds us that we all have something to contribute. Whether its driving, book-keeping, IT skills, or even serving on a fruit barrow, I would urge as many people as possible to use this week as an opportunity to put something back into our community."
