Station Bridge: End in Sight
Greenock’s West Station bridge is on
course to re-open to traffic in July. Welcoming the news that the work to replace the bridge is
nearing an end, MSP for Greenock and Inverclyde, Duncan McNeil, said:
“I’m
delighted that this major project is finally coming to an end – as, I’m
sure, is everyone else who travels around Greenock.
“It
has been a long time coming, but credit where credit’s due, the Executive was
determined to take the necessary action – including using compulsory purchase
orders – to overcome the intransigence from certain quarters and get the job
done.”
