Festive Holiday for Shopworkers
MSP for Greenock and Inverclyde,
Duncan McNeil, is a yes vote in the Scottish Parliament on the Christmas Day
and New Year’s Day Trading (Scotland) Bill.
He said:
“I have been a
long-standing supporter of this Bill and I am delighted that the Justice 2
Committee’s report has backed it - albeit by a majority decision.
“After
all the work shop workers put in to make everyone else’s Christmas, it’s
only fair that they get to enjoy their own.
With the Liberals, SNP, and Tories against the Bill, though, I am
continuing to work closely with Karen Whitefield in a bid to get it passed by
the full Parliament.”
