Minister Heads to Greenock for NHS Summit
Health Minister, Andy Kerr, is to hold
talks on the future of Argyll and Clyde Health Board in Greenock later this
month, it has been revealed.
He will meet with MSP for
Greenock and Inverclyde Duncan McNeil; MP, David Cairns; and key members of the
Health Working Group to hear their views on the troubled Board’s current
difficulties.
Mr McNeil today welcomed the
news, saying:
“The Minister has been
taking a close interest in the affairs of Argyll and Clyde Health Board since
his appointment and I am delighted that he is prepared to listen to community
concerns.
“In addition to underlining
what we see as the problems, however, I am also looking forward to exploring
possible solutions.”
The meeting will take place
in Greenock on Monday 21st February 2005.
